OK folks here is my problem. I ghosted a machine from one drive to another (did not run sysprep cause there is a program that might goof up on it if the sids are changed)

Should be no big deal as long a the machine is not on a network I thought. The target Hard Drive has been working great with no problems. Once the Ghost was done and the target installed in a different machine it comes up starting windows 2000 puts up the splash screen and gets half way through the load and blue screens.

The error says stop inaccessable boot device and gives a physical memory address. Then says yadda yadda virus possible (there is not one on the original we checked )

Tried to repair using the ERD and got the same error. The only differnce between the machines is the manufacturer of the hard drive.

Any help is much appreciated. (yes I know I should have run sysprep but it does not get far enough to change the SID's anyway)

Thanks

Try and disable your bios virus checker
because you are writing to the mbr????
I'm not sure if this will work I'm new to the field.
