| Hi,
I know that this is really upsetting for you, but its really not that bad of a score. You already know 60% of the material, and when you write the exam again, I am sure that you will blow it away.
It's really not the end of the world, although I know how you feel. I failed Proxy Server about a month or so ago, which was my last exam for my MCSE, and was absolutely devestated for a couple of days. I still haven't re-written it yet, but I will soon.
The best thing you can do for yourself right now, is to take a break from studying for a day or two, and then get right back on the horse.
And please do not kill yourself tonight like you said in your post - its just not worth over an exam that you can write again in 14 days. I'm sure that there are lots of people who really care about you, who need you.
And I really want to stress to you that 60% is really not that bad of a mark - its so close, and it means that you already know 60% of the material. This also gives you a headstart next time when you go in, because you will know what to expect.
Was this your first Microsoft exam? They are all poorly written, with amibigous questions - just remember that its not your fault that Microsoft writes such weirdly worded exams.
In all honesty - you're not the first person to fail a Microsoft exam, and you definitely won't be the last. Just pick yourself up, and go back in there and beat this thing! | |

| There is a thread in this forum, called "The Doctor Is In" or something like that, where one of our members (Yeti) is offering free one on one tutorials to people who reply to the thread. You should reply to it - Yeti is brilliant.
Also, you should try to get some hands on anyway you can. Try to get a demo of Windows 2000 Professional from Microsoft - I'm sure they must have that on their site.
And check through the threads in this forum. Yeti has also posted errata (corrections) for the MS Press book. Apparently that book contains alot of errors which may have been your problem.
And, if you get a chance, you should try the practice tests on www.cert21.com . They are excellent preparation for the real exam.
Good Luck!! | |

| i already run win 2k pro on my system...and i also have win 2k adv server...but i dont haev another computer to do RIS....is that pretty important?????? about hands on....what do u recommend? if i got another correct answer...i would have passed the exam right | |

| You need to know how to use RIS and implement it for the exam, but speaking from experience, you'll probably never use it in the real world. Most companies all use some type of imaging software. And now with the advent of Hidden Partitions, you never even have to see a user to deploy the product or applications to them. RIS is very limited in what it can do for a large organization. So I would just try to understand it through the book. If you can't though...have at it at home. While a 600 isn't bad, there are other areas you may want to focus on a little more, as you will be constantly using those features of WIN2K. IE Sharing, permissions, security, and ofcourse...troubleshooting. Grab your score sheet and see your weakest areas. I am sure they didn't ask you 22 questions on RIS. Good luck next time. Oh, and hands on is the MOST IMPORTANT thing here. Without it, you will never be able to apply your knowledge. | |

Try www.XXXXXXXXXXXXXXX.com I have purchased
about 5 study exams for my test and out of all I really like this study guide. what is
25 dollars when your spending a 100???? I have noticed that there are alot of answers that are worded in a manner to make you miss the question. But just remember if they made
it easy your cert would mean absolutely nothing!!!! If I can help with anything please email me jolie71@home.com.
