| I'm somewhat new here. At least from the point of leaving messages. I've surely been reading a majority of the posts over the past year. I have successfully completed A+, Networks+, and i-net+ last year.
I decided today will be the beginning of my road to the MSCE 2000 title.
After observing many comments on which study guides are best suited in preparing for the 70-210 exam I narrowed them down then went out and purchased New Riders: W2K Professional Training Guide and Exam Cram: W2K Professional.
My plan of action is to just study these two books. And follow up with a few of the exam question websites for refinement. Then off to the testing center I will go!
I am also in an MBA program so this will be interestingas to how I make out with this extra study work I'm about to put myself through...My time management skills will surely have to be fine tuned.
Well here we go...Chapter 1 - Installing 2000 professional(New Riders)...ugh!
Oh! I plan to complete my study for this exam within 5 weeks...Has anyone here completed their study of 70-210 in less time and passed the exam the first time???

| I studied for two weeks and passed on the first try with a 900+ score, but remember this: I was already an MCSE 4.0, I am an MCT, and I did nothing else for 2 weeks but read books and get hands-on knowledge.
Not to mention that this is not a race anyway
Congrats on your cert successes already! | |

| Thanks for the response.
I give myself a target date is all. I feel 4 to 6 week intervals is plenty of time depending on the difficulty of the subject matter. I figure the only way for me to stay consistent with achieving a certification(s) and not get derailed is to give myself a deadline. This at the same time will keep me sharp.
So far so good...the first chapter of the New Riders book is like an A+ refresher
