| What's with this new XP OS and what chance is there that within a year there is going to be a new Microsoft Nos, replacing WIN2K. I'm just starting my studies for mcse and wonder if I should think twice before pursing the win2k certification | |

| Bill Gates has already said that you will not have to recert for XP. This is because XP is not an entirely new OS likfe the difference betweent NT4, and 2K was. So not to worry. For now you are safe. | |

| From all I have heard the W2K cert will not be replaced with the XP. Microsoft considers them to be the same family XP is designed more for the Home user than a Business user
Besides Even Microsoft could not afford to have everybody quit the cert programs which would probably happen after what they pulled with NT4. | |

| Last thing I heard was that XP will be the name the new client OSs (replacing w2kpro and 9x) will have while Windows 2001 will be the name given to the server OSs in the whistler family.
