CheckUpgradeOnly or CheckUpgradeOnlyQ ????
|
|
|
| I am so confused about this two answers to the question; Can someone please explain the difference between the two...to when i can use ONLY and when to use ONLYQ?????? thanks | |
|
| Hello Tulip, here is what I think is the correct answer to your question. I have asked my professor and he believes that this is also correct. It may or may not answer your question but it may give you a starting point
The /checkupgradeonly switch causes Win2K Pro setup to run only to the point of
checking for compatibility problems with installed hardware and software; then, it
generates a text report that identifies any problems it finds. Running this option
before you attempt a complete installation is worthwhile because it gives you a
chance to fix any problems without disturbing the system's current OS installation.
when appended with the (Q) switch to this command it runs in quiet mode and will not generate the text report that it normally generates.
Hope this helps...............FUBAR | |
