| I would like to know how many questions are there in the 70=210 exam and how many questions should be right out of that total? Also can you go back to the marked questions if time allows? Thankyou | |
|
| Hi there
There are 50 questions, you need to get 620 out of 1000 to pass. That's 62% overall meaning you can get 19 wrong.I got 20 wrong when i wrote the test 2 weeks ago and failed. You can go back and forward through the questions as much as you like.
Hope this helps
Regards,
Evan

| That test was a beast. It was not what I expected and I was nearly not ready for it. I passed with 720. A score that I will never get again, it was a wake up call. | |

| Esexon: I would like to know why you did not pass the first time...how long did you study for it? that is how long did u study to feel it was time to give the exam? I have just started about 10 days ago (off and on) and was wondering how long will it take. I wish you best of luck for the 2nd time...I know you will do it with flying colors this time. Please let me know how it went and what to be on guard for: Tulip4ccna@aol.com thanks.. | |

| Hi there
It was my fault totally, i wasn't prepared.I had been reading my 2 books(ExamCram and Alan Carter) for about 2 months before i decided to book. I booked the exam giving myself 2 weeks to prepare.
I also had 3 days off before the exam to prepare and spent these days cramming like mad.I think i underestimated the volume of work and the difficulty of the exam.I was used to the Comptia exams which were easy. I now know that the Microsoft exams are tough, very tough and you have to feel like you know everything 100% before you attempt it.I have never failed a exam before and this was a wake up call for me too.
So yeah, my advice for you, study real hard, make sure you are scoring at least 90% on practice tests.Know about permissions, RIS, Networking and good luck.I sit mine again in 2 weeks time so by the time i pass i will be a expert, hehe!!
Anyway, let me know how it goes and if i can help with anything.
See ya
Evan

| Esexon,
You're scaring me. I have the same two books and I've studied for two months too. I'm also testing myself with Troytec. I was going to write the exam in two weeks, but after reading your post I've decided to give myself more time. I like Alan Carters Book but the "All 4 core" approach is a bit overwhelming (1500 pages). Any studying suggestions?
Good luck to you all | |
|
| Hi Wancheta
Sorry, didn't mean to scare you.If you feel ready for the exam and you have no doubts then it should be ok.Make sure you take every practice test you can find and that you are scoring +- 90% on all of them and you should pass the test.
Best 0f luck

| The test isn't that hard if you print out trancender with the answers and comments.. i learned alot from that.. I studied for 4 days and got 860.. | |
|
| Memorizing questions and answers will make you a good candidate for Paper MCSE surpremicy.
Study, Study, Hands-on, Hands-on is the only way to go. If you memorize questions/answers/explanations, you'll get burned one day.

| You might be right.. But i learned a lot more from the Trancenders than from the Microsoft press books... | |
|
| Yeah Microsoft press books are no fun to try. We have them here at work and as ususal they are written in microsoftease so it takes a brain surgeon to figure out what they are trying to say. I am doing ExamPrep and Sybex along with the MS Press books. Enough to make your brain hurt. |
