Can some of you help me out with some recommendations for 70-210 in the following areas?

1)What kinds of books do you recommend?
2)What web resources do you recommend?
3)Practice exams it doesn’t matter to me if they are free or not?
4)Approximately how much study time is involved?
5)How do you rate the difficulty level of this exam?

I know this is a pretty long list but your input would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Chas1,
okay here it comes......
First I am a firm believer for anyone to use whatever they can get there hands on for each exam, borrow books if you need to, print off study guides, cramsession etc...and of course above all use the product as much as you can
1-I used MOC's for all my exams but the resource kits are really good too(I borrowed the one for 216)
2-of course www.examnotes.com
www.labmice.com
www.microsoft.com/technet
www.brainbuzzz.com
www.mcsefreak.com
www.mcseguide.com
www.certifyexpress.com
and yes I like www.mcsetutor.com too.
I have a huge favorite list for MCSE, but these are the main ones I use.
3-Well there are a ton of them on the web that are free. Transcenders are good, just expensive, I liked Self Test Software too.
4-ohhh I started my class in Sept, went mon, wed, fri with MCSE and tue, thurs A+ and CNA, just mornings....There was a two week break at Christmas time, the actual class lessons were done Feb 16 and I just finished my MCSE on tues the 20th of March. So if that gives you a bit of a time frame...
5-210 is a pretty straight forward exam and has a moderatly low beast rating

whew

You sat and passed all the exams for the MCSE,A+ and a CNA in that time frame? Or just took the classes?

Yup. A+ was done in November, MCSE just finished it on the 20th, and I'm doing the CNA exam this week. I find my brain is highly overloaded....Close to a L2TP spontaneous combustion. But I'm a slacker compaired to Cadman.

My God man!

Are you in the feild?

Do you need to eat, sleep engage in any social actvities? ( light humor...maybe?)

2001-03-24, 11:31 pm

wahahaha
No actually I'm not in the field. Not at the moment anyway. I can't remember what social activities exsit anymore, I sleep once and a while, and eat often.
If you read some of my posts in the 220/221 forum, I think you can actually see my sanity slipping away into the MCSE darkness.
