| Hi,
Why does M$ list disk space requirements as 2GB with 650MB free disk space? If you only need 650MB, then why not say so. If indeed you need 2GB, then list that as the minimum. Any suggestions? | |

| I posted the same question in 215 sometime ago. in W2K Pro, something like 671 MB is required to load the OS. Everyone is saying that 2 GB is recommended incase you want to install additional software and apps. in Server 1 GB is the minimum and again 2 GB is required.
I have yet to get a straight answer because there are inconsistencies in the text. Some text would say 671 is the minimum some say 1 GB and some say 2 GB. I'm reading MOC and they say that 671mb is the minimum requirement for server so I'm going with that. I guess no one has yet to get this question on the test.

| 650 is needed for a minimum install, plain and simple. The 2G is recommended because it allows for additional software and a proper page file. If the question comes up it is 64 megs on a 133 with 650 megs of disk space.
