| After win 2000 adv server is installed my mouse when it is used in configure the server starts acting like a eraser against a chalkboard (I tested my mouse in win 95 & win 98 and win 2000 pro and it works fine). Is this a bad mouse driver or is something wrong w/ the win 2000 adv server software program. I uninstalled the win 2000 adv server program and reinstalled and it still does it.
Also I'm still having a hard time w/ my win 2000 adv server seeing my win 95 clients. I did set up a domain in active directory and added the users into the domain. When i try to log onto to win 2000 adv server w/ another user acct. i get error "the local policy of this system does not permit you to logon interactively. I have tcp/ip on all computers and i don't have netbeui on the clients or win 2000 sdv server. The client computers can see themselves.

| You can not log on to a domain controller unless you are an admin, domain admin or enterprise admin. Or you can modify your security settings to allow a domain user to log on, but by default, a normal user cannot log on to a DC. Stupid question maybe, but have you tried to find your client computers on your DC. Try searching for them. Win95, 98 and I believe NT clients will not publish themselves in active directory. In order to use active directory on non windows 2000 clients, you need to download Directory Services Client 5.0 for 95/98. Can you see any 2000 pro clients on the DC? | |
