I have a question about a topic I read about in Certification Mag. I seen something about Exam Sim. Has anyone used it before it says that it gives you hands on experience. I am thinking about buying it because, I don not want to spend a lot of money taking a class or buying some computer to make me a windows 2000 lab. For the price of $159.00 per exam it's not too bad.

Tell me what you think. www.testout.com

You might reconsider that test lab. The best way to learn is to get stuck in and screw stuff up then figure out how to fix it....

Well said Supergeekster I agree 10000000% Hands-on beats Sim experience

I guess there is no easy way around it then. I would hate to spend this money on this training and not use it in the new future, even with certification.

159$ for each exam? Lets see thats 159 'click click click' times 6 exams 'click click click' by my calculations (check my math!) thats 954$

You could buy a brand new computer for 700 bucks...(probably cheaper but this ones a Dell)

You can also get a trial version of the software from Microsoft

and when your finally an MCSE you'll have a nice little computer to install a real OS on...(cough cough LINUX cough)

The best thing for you to do is build your own computer. It shouldn't cost you over $500. I've seen people with MCSE certs and do not know how to replace a network card. I've also seen people with certifications land nice jobs, but was let go after 3 months because they didn't know what they were doing. This is a sad thing. Hands on is the only way to go if you want to actually know what your doing. It'll help you not only land a nice job, but keep the nice job. This is just my 2 cents worth.

My question was that has anyone used it? I think that for the money and it offers a garuantee that you pass or your money back. I have enough junk around the house. http://www.testout.com/cgi-bin/haze...tratio

Gasp! I wouldn't consider a computer to be junk! No, I haven't tried that software. I definitely have enough of THAT junk around the house...
