| i was reading some of the post here and noticed yall were talking about a few diffrent books and the only books i have are the MCSE training kit books from ms
so my question is this: are these books enough, if you read them and actually did the labs and stuff? or do yall suggest anyother kind of books
p.s. i heard the mcse 2k was harder than the ccna and was approaching ccie level in hardness, any truth to this?
and since im here, i only have a year or so of actual administrative experience and thats from the army, when i get my mcse, do i have a pretty good chance of getting a semi-good job? like 45k-55kish?
hey yall thanks for any input

| midnightprophet,
I used the MCSE Training Kits for all my W2K cores tests. I supplemented the 216 with other material because it is the smallest of the set and just was not enough. The mcse tk's are enough for 210,215, and 217. Some people don't like them, but that's why there is a selection out there.
At some point, you really want to add the W2K Server resource kit to your bag of tools.

| I agree with Cadman.
As for the CCIE thing, no truth to it. The CCIE is certainly a lot harder...

I take it then you recommend them? I am only going to do W2K Pro so I don't need a lot of study material. So far I have gottem, Examprep & Examcram Windows 2000 Professional, New Riders MCSE Windows 2000 Professional Training Guide and the Sybex eTrainer MCSE Windows 2000 Professional, Think I have enough?

| I liked the MSP W2K tk's for 210, 215, and 217, but not for 216 (very limp). It sounds like you have enough of an arsenal, I wouldn't bother getting the tk for 210.

Sounds like you got what you need to me. I'm study 70-210 now myself. I'm using Alan R. Carter MCSE Study System and Exam Cram also.
You sound well prepaired. Good Luck to also.... http://128.242.228.49/ubb/smile.gif
