I have the same problem before
1.- check your workgroup name is the same
2.- make sure u have this protocol
client for microsoft networks
netbuie protocol
file and printer sharing for microsoft
internet protocol (tcp/ip)
nwlink netbios protocol
3.- disable any firewall and antivirus
4.- u can check by typing in the command run
\\computer name o type ip addres
i have this configurations i have 2 W2P and 1 win98 in my netwok good luck
