| Hello everyone, I am intrested in going for MCSE after taking the NET+. Lets say I take the 70-210 test and pass, is there a time limit before taking the other exam? Thank you | |

| There is no time limit between exams on MCSE just take them when you are ready!
I would suggest that you take 70-215 Windows 2000 Server first as I found that in the Professional exam you need to know items contained in the Server exam. Once you pass the server exam you will find all the other exams come together easier as you will know the bulk of the material required! Typical MS ploy!!
I hope this helps.

| Good advice there Spid! you are right on that | |
|
| Actually it was wbafrank with the suggestion
Even though I took 70-210 before 70-215, if I had to do it over again, I would take the 215 first. | |

| I think the best strategy is to prepare 70-210 and 70-215 at the same time.

Fair comment, and not a bad idea seeing that there is quite a bid of overlap between the two exams. However the 215 does tend to stress GPO concepts and basic/dynamic disk storage/volume principles/troubleshooting much more than the 210 exam.
Cheers. | |

| I agree with humpty_nl, much of the material is the same for both tests. You could save a lot of time by studying for both. You have to set up a server & workstation to study anyway. |
