I was wondering if anybody has used this book and if it helped them any? I'm planning on using this, MCSE Training Kit Windows 2000, Exam Essentials, Troytec, and Transcender. What does everybody recommend and not recommend?

I used MS Press Training Kit and Transcender with practice on a Windows 2000 Pro machine.

Hi PotatoHead,

I purchased this book when I was just begining to get my materials together for the test. I thought it would be a good book to use. Unfortunately, it really wasn't that great of a book to use. (IMHO).

If you've already got it, then that's fine. If you haven't purchased it yet, I'd save your money or look at getting the exam cram book. I think the other resources you've listed will get you prepared for the exam quite nicely.

If you could get a little home lab setup for some hands on, then that'll help you out even more.

Good luck in your studies, let us know if we can help.
