| Hi
I'm new at this site, and i already have a question.
I'm taking the exam next monday.
Everyone is talking about TroyTec .
What is it and were can i get it...he he he.
It seems to me that it is some sort of test exam??
any other hints are also welcom

| TroyTec is a study guide. You can get them from www.troytec.com. They cover the basics with some study questions at the end. If you have a fairly good understanding of Windows 2000 and just need to review or “bone up” before taking the exam, they are pretty good. If you need more information then they offer, I think Sybex books are great. | |

Make sure that you are comfortable with RRAS, RIS Installations and unattended installs (including sysprep). If you know these it will be a breeze. | |

| I saw someone today order a troytec "now known as test killer" for the CCNP switching exam.
The format used to be
Q. ask the question.
A. Provide the answer
now it is.
1.know that ethernet is 10 megabit and that fast ethernet is 100 megabit.
2.know that vlans must be have a route processor to comunicate between them.
The statements are related to the actual tests questions but the questions themselves are no longer included.
If you want old school troytecs download Kaazaa and type troytec in the search
and with a little patience you will get them all.
BTW I passed today 760 over a 540 pass | |

| Dear Chodan,
There is no need to go for troytec book as they are only teaching basic and to understand basic you should know all fundamentals. So if you realy want some valueable thing go to sight which are having more material and freely available for Stdying as i have also passed my MCP without the book as i was having Strong understanding about the NT. So go ahead and have understand all basic thing as they also asked about IP. Nitin | |

| Troytec is not a book.
Aside from that I think they way to pass is
by using my 6 point plan
1. get study materials you are comfortable with.
2. get your hands on win2k server & professional
3.Get some good practice tests
4.study
5.Study
6.study

| Kazaa is like Napster except you can download almost anything. Go to kazaa.com and download it, when its done type whatever you are searching for in the search field and batta bing batta boom - there you have it - its mostly for downloading MP3's - though it does have alot of other stuff like movies, videos, study guides, etc. | |

| Troytech is good if you already a pretty good understanding of the material. I personally will recommend either Microsoft press, exam cram, or the sybex books. In addition just study hard and long. |
