Hi all,

I've seen a question to the above title asking what protocols should be used on W2k Pro.I saw the question pop up in a few braindumps(I know b.dumps can be dangerous) and they answered EAP.
But on checking this out I found out it needs EAP,MSCHAP and/or MSCHAPv2.
This is the correct ans??

Hi Iceman,

This is where hands on is a great help in studying, or a book that has a screenshot would be fine as well because you would see what happens when you select EAP.

Right-click on the dial-up, VPN, or incoming connection on which you want to use smart card or other certificate authentication, and then click Properties.

Now click on the Security tab, click Typical (recommended settings), and in Validate my identity as follows, click Use smartcard.

Now click on Advanced (custom settings), click the Settings button , and you would see that when you select the "Use Extensible Authentication Protocol(EAP)" radio button, the option to select any of the other protocols is greyed out. If you select the "Allow these protocols" radio button, you can select PAP,SPAP,CHAP,MS-CHAP, and MS-CHAPv2. However, EAP is not an option if you go this route.

So.... long story short, the answer would be EAP. If you are referring to what ExamCram states, it is wrong.

HTH!

Thanks Spid.
This time round the braindumps answer was right and the ExamCram book was wrong.
It pays to check these things out, although in this case E.Cram was wrong.

Thanks again.
