| Hi,
I've got a 3com pcmcia lan card installed on my HP laptop and I want to use it at work and home at the same time.
Because I use a cable at home, which means dhcp, once I'm back at work, I have to call up my IT help desk and reset my login name to join the domain again.
I tried using hardware profile but once I start using dhcp at home, when I reboot, my whole configuration's gone.
Is there a way to make it work out?
Thanks in advance.

| If you use the same NIC (and not a docking station)at work you should just be able to create another Account in the Network and Dial-up Icon under the Control Panel and name it WORK and the other one HOME and fill in the values for your Work. | |

| If you use an address in the same range as your dhcp server is assigning...and configure a static gateway (the cmodem) and enter the dns servers (a simple ipconfig /all will get you them when your online )of your ISP..you should not have to deal with dhcp. | |

| the easiest thing to do would be set up 2 profiles. especially if your using w2k. |
