| Hi guys,
I have tested some NTFS folder and file permissions with different combinations and had the following question:
In my computer (running Win2K Professsional), I use a Power User account called TT to login and create a C:\TT folder. Then, I set the TT user to Read & Execute permission for the folder.
I also add the Adminstrators Group to the folder and set to Read Permissions, Change Permissions and Deny Delete for the folder only.
Having done all the above, I login using an adminstrator user account and the computer allows me to delete folder. I did it using the TT user account and the result is identical (ie. it still allows to execute the deletion on the folder).
I am wondering the adminstrator and TT user accounts both should not have delete permissions for the folder. But why does it allow me to do perform the deletion for the folder? Please give me any advice.
Thank You.
Thomas
