How to remove 2000 Professional from a dual boot with win98
| Need some assistance from all the great minds we have here. I have a machine that was running Win98 and I installed 2000 Professional to dual boot with 98. I need help in how exactly to completely remove 2000 from this machine without having to blow away the hard drive. I want to clean off 2000 and then want to be able to go back and install it over 98 as an upgrade. I know some will say to go ahead and format the drive and start from scratch, but I have several programs that I no longer have access to and don't want to lose them. I thank you in advance for you assistance!

boot your system with a 98 boot disk that has fdisk and sys.com on it. Then at the C:\ run fdisk /mbr hit return, then type sys c: and reboot. After it comes up delete the winnt directory. should be good as new.
