| it was surprized when i failed...
i took the exams last thursday and quite surprized i failed.
i used the boson test but does not cover even
40 to 50 percent of the exams...
i used actual test the updated one which is the same tesking v.15.. which covers 65 to 75 percent of the exams and the other 15 to 25 percent are new one and not seen in the reviewer.. still does not guarantee to pass and the accurancy of those material to pass.
i am not upset but consedering as part to help you exams and expending money as well.
since my CCNA will retired on june 16, 2004. i could not take any CISCO exams anymore.
i'm looking for a book for CCDA 861 new version here in our place in whole kingdom of SAUDI. i could not find any. please help if you have any pdf file..
i will study again and try but now.. i will used the cisco press book.. CCDA 861.
appreciate your help..

| Sorry about the failed.. There are plenty of threads in this forum that will help you study and give you some of the topics that you need to concentrate on. I can not comment on a good book to read, but I can suggest that you know IPv6, but you must know that one now already.
Dont trust the te$tking or or some of the other sources. I have looked at some of the questions posted from those sources and found errors. I also remember some questions posted and found similar questions on the test, but one or two words were different changing the correct answer from the one given by te$tking to another one. I would not put any stock in those docs.
I am sure you will do fine the next time yout take it, now that you know what topics you need to work on. | |

| hi i am sorry about the exam, i attempted the exam three times
as what others said, true testking and boson are really not much of help. i had posted some questions from them to understand the line of thought others followed when choosing two very similar answers.
i had referred to every possible whitepaper cisco had on designing.

i heard that diane teare's designing cisco is good but you should ask for reviews before you purchase it.
well if you have any cisco press, you need to know by every line to pass. when u r attempting the exam, read the question and answers twice before you go to the next. i agree that with the ccda, every right answer is worth gold.

"Ripping off"? Those documents are freely available from cisco.com. I don't see how that is "ripping them off". As for the "lousy ftp server", that is not mine. It belongs to a group member and he has set it up for sharing.
You know, I used to think you were a pretty decent guy, even when people were trying to get you removed as a moderator a few months back. But I can now see that the way you act in forums besides your own CCNA forum (and sometimes even in that forum) is totally unprofessional.

If it so happens that by doing this I can also offer some assistance to somebody who needs it, all the better!

No dummy-spitting here. I'm not complaining or whining because my posts are edited. In fact, I expect as much from you. The more you edit the posts in the forum, the more incompetent you look. Maybe understanding another's personality differences might be easier than trying to win on this one.
Lex comes across to me as a "gold" personality type. "Gold" people prefer structure which is useful because they tend to encourage stability. Stnosc comes across as an "orange" person. "Orange" people like to push the boundaries & not accept the structure. This is useful to create new horizons. As you can see, this could create tremendous waves.
I'm a "blue" personality type..puppies & kitties & up with people, "let's all get along" type which means I'll get my sensitive, sentimental butt kicked. Had to try, though. | |

| Never mind I passed yesterday and the Black friday and managed a great score all i used was the CCDA self study book by diane teare be sure to use the links that she suggests, I give this book 110% it was a very worth while investment, now time for ARCH, has anyone any good suggestions of what site has the examination guide up for grabs

| After reading this thread, I have come to the conclusion Lexy is a bot. Why, you ask?
Simple.
It always says stupid things that do not quite make sense. Almost always ends in a smiley, as if that makes it more human and funny. It also never really learns.
Since bots are simple programs, and do not have learning curves (unlike humans, no matter how slight some might be), I have determined it is a bot.
To prove it, the bot will return and say it is not one, and belittle me. When this happens, you will have the proof needed that it is a bot and should summarily be ignored. | |
