| Well people itook the CCDA Desgn exam yesterday and passed, after hearing all about the mixed reports about people failing the exam I was quite nervous however once I sat down the questions all were answerable without too much hard thinking. I used the CCDA self study book by Diane Teare and quickly browsed through the CCDA ECG by Bruno (although i don't rate it much) but I passed with a fantastic score. Time for you lot to pass now.
Best of luck people | |

| HI crmoy,
I am also pursuing CCDA. I am not sure why others do this cert, however, for me it's based on a need to know. I've seen multiple campus networks using Cisco equipment and never really understood why the design was the way it was (core, distribution, access layers, etc.) so I felt the need to understand.
Also, half way into Diane Teare's book, I realize this will be very useful for my career in networking as my current company uses Cisco and so do my customers.
I haven't been tasked yet with doing any design work but I am sure it will come eventually.
In the mean time, knowing the stuff, I feel more comfortable when dealing with NOC and when problems arise.
I just ordered the Top-down Network Design book by Precilla Oppenheimer (2nd ed.) and plan on reading this before my exam since it has such rave reviews.
Also, in my opinion, CCDA is a great complement to MCSE.
Good luck! |
