| I'd like to find out if I (we) are missing a good disussion forum for CCDA. I read this one, cisco netpro, groupstudy.com and tcpmag.com. I have looked at others but find little traffic. Any other good ones out there?
Thank you,
Pete | |

| I believe he asked for good groups!
At least he can add another with little traffic to the list!

| Lexy...
Sadly, I'm not surprised by your reply on this thread. What happened to your agreement in the other thread to getting things back on track and stop all the sniping? Not enough going on in the CCNA forum, huh?
I wonder why? | |

| Considering the links you have on your profile, it shows how much you honour your word as well.

| My tag line wasn't changed because I knew it wouldn't be long before you started acting like a fool again, and I was right.
You are once again acting true to form!

| Yeah right!
You had no intention of changing it or you would have already done so. It takes a few moments to change it so you can add yourself to your hypocrite tag that you are so fond of.

| On the serious side, plunt:
Study groups for the CCDA are few and far between. It's not a "popular" certification as I'm sure you can tell. Get yourself the Cisco press CCDA self-study book and also the Cisco press CCDA/CCDP flashcards for study. The Cisco press book is the best book to use to study for the exam.

| Thanks, I've been working on it for a year now. I've got all the books and cisco white papers etc. Lots of material, too little time. Of course, it doesn't help when I go off in the weeds as I am now. The auditing talks about CiscoWorks, MRTG, OpenNMS etc. I'm too curious. So I have been working on getting them running, so I can really understand their worth. I've had CiscoWorks, NetSNMP, MRTG working and I finally got OpenNMS running today. Very challenging if your not a software developer in order to be able to debug the installation/configuration. Runing Snort was easier because there was a book which gave me checkpoints, such as, you've got MySQL up, try this, which helps debug the whole process.
But for a lot of the packages you just have to assume they installed correctly.
I'm up to 7 computers now in the house, 4 Cisco routers and one 1900 switch. Worked great for my CCNA.
