which two rae the reasons that a VoIP call could go off earlier than designed? (Choose two)

a. remote voice gateway sending busy back signal.

b. destination routing not configured to local and remote gateways.

hi does anyone know certain answers to these...

Q: Which security function is performed in the Server Farm of the Enterprise Composite Model

a. port security
b. packet filtering
c. private Vlans
d. AAA controls.

i say c.

Q: You have been asked to propose a security solution to protect servers in the E-commerce module of the network. Which two recommendations can be made to help satisfy this requirement?

a. use intrusion detection on e-commerce server farm
b. limit no. of incoming connections to better manage risks
c. place application servers and database servers on separate dmz
d. move e-cooerce applications to the wan module where tighter security is used
e. require a public and private encryption key

i feel that a, b, c are right. does anyone have a better insight to this?

Q: Your customer wants to run voice traffic
over existing frame realy network, but is not ready to deploy ip phones as this point. what networking hardware would you use to accomodate this request?

a. voice gatekeeper
b. call manager
c. voice gateway
d. frame relay access device (frad)
e. multi control unit (mcu)

i am stumped on this one..

i would be glad if you could help me with the above...

thanks ewright and johnny in helping me out with the previous one..

Answer to 1st question is D. All servers should have some kind of authentication. Answer to second question, is B. Only Call Manager is needed.

Sorry, didn't see the 2nd question buried in there. 2nd question is right A,B & C. Third is B.

Q1: Which security function is performed in the Server Farm of the Enterprise Composite Model

a. port security
b. packet filtering
c. private Vlans
d. AAA controls.

i answer C in my first exam but I changed to B in my second exam. I am not sure about the answer. Perhaps, someone who expert out there can give us the best answer...please.

Q2: You have been asked to propose a security solution to protect servers in the E-commerce module of the network. Which two recommendations can be made to help satisfy this requirement?

a. use intrusion detection on e-commerce server farm
b. limit no. of incoming connections to better manage risks
c. place application servers and database servers on separate dmz
d. move e-cooerce applications to the wan module where tighter security is used
e. require a public and private encryption key

I answered B and C in my first exam, however I answer A and C in my second exam. I really confuse about this question since my opinion said that A,B,C are correct answer but why Cisco only allow us to choose 2 answer instead of 3? does anyone have a better insight to this?

Q3: Your customer wants to run voice traffic
over existing frame realy network, but is not ready to deploy ip phones as this point. what networking hardware would you use to accomodate this request?

a. voice gatekeeper
b. call manager
c. voice gateway
d. frame relay access device (frad)
e. multi control unit (mcu)

Testking said that B is not the correct answer since Call Manager is the software NOT hardware. I really stucked in this question, can someone explain which one suit best for the answer?

Q4: What is the International standard for Internet Management Framework? (Choose 2)
A. NMS
B. SNMP
C. CDP
D. MIB
E. RMON

I answered B and D, does anyone have better insight on this one?

Q5. You want to setup network for two building which separate with clear line of sight, what network technology you used?
A. Fixed Wireless Broadband
B. Wireles LAN
C. ISDN
D. Mobile IP
E. Cellular Wireless

I choosed B. This answer is really tricky since it doesn't give explanation about how far the 2 building separated apart one from the other. Does anyone have better opinion for this question?

Q6. You want to setup hierarchical design consist of HQ network, Regional office, and branch office network. Branch office connect to Regional office, and Regional office connect to HQ using Cisco devices. What routing solution HQ must have in order to achieve hierarchical and redundant design?
A. Same as Regional office.
B. Same as Branch office.
C. Same as Branch and Regional office.
D. Different from REgional office.
E. Different from Branch office.

I guess the answer is C. JohnnyBeGood, Shilp79, ewright...please give me your insight about this question. Thanks guys.

One more question, is there any new RIP version for IPV6?

Thanks Shilp79 for bringing these questions into the forum

well in the safe pdf they impressed on private vlans for the first question, but then what ewright said was right, some sort of authentication is imp on servers.

so for Q1. i choose AAA

Q2: a & c, i feel that ids will detect unwanted connections and inform the admin of ir. placing the servers in a dmz is a bsic design of any security policy

Q3: ans is B

Q4: B& D is correct

Q5: i chose Wlan only because they used the phrase "line of sight". if i am wrong pl correct me

Q6: i am not sure i chose the hq and the regional should be the same only analysing the fact that sometimes branch does not require the bandwidth requirements as much as regional and hq does. i would like if anyone can give me an insight on this...

i got most of these questions in my third attempt, where did u gather them from? if by yourself, i must say your memory is really good.

considering the redaing materials you have i say read bruno really well and then the white papers from cisco site. if i am not mistaken, somewhere in this site a very helpful member had posted some of the whitepapers he used. sybex gives a very brief overview and i feel it ain't enough to even closely pass the exam

Thanks Shilp79 for your response. Yea you right, I tried to memorize all question that I doubt about the answer. I want to know the correct answer for them, that's why I tried to memorize the question and answers.
Good to hear that you finally can pass the exam.

By the way, I have another question that I still unsure about the correct answer.

What is the first task that a network designer should perform when documenting the
customer requirements and existing environment of a network design project?
A. Assess the scope of the design project.
B. Identify applications, both planned and installed.
C. Identify the customer’s business constraints.
D. Assess the customer’s business goals.

Is it the answer C or D? Please guys give me your insight on this. Thanks a lot.

Q3: Your customer wants to run voice traffic
over existing frame realy network, but is not ready to deploy ip phones as this point. what networking hardware would you use to accomodate this request?

a. voice gatekeeper
b. call manager
c. voice gateway
d. frame relay access device (frad)
e. multi control unit (mcu)

Answer: C

Reason: In order to get voice to travel over frame relay circuits you need to encode them into a format that frame relay understands. This is done using the voice gateway. Frame relay is a packet switched network. Voice coming from a a standard telephone is an analogue signal. IP telephones and voice gateways are the devices that actually change the voice format from an analog signal to a packet. This is done using the DSPs inside the hardware. In this implementation, the PBXs from the customer would be directly connected to the vocie enabled router (gateway) via a tie trunk.

Also, the call manager realy acts like a PBX for an IP telephony system. It basically only routes calls and offers voice application like voicemail.

I hope that was useful.
