I took the 640-861DESGN today

| I took the 640-861 CCDA DESGN and well I didn't do as well as I had hoped for. I scored a 731 out of the 825. Some of the questions I was not prepared for.
There were about 3 or 4 questions on how BGP, OSPF and IS-IS acted with IPv6. I think I bombed all of those.
There was a question on which Cisco Router feature allowed for Multicasting. The choices were: CDP , RCGMP , BCGMP, SNMP and another protocol i can't remember. I think I bombed this question as well.
Another question that threw me off was what modules were inside the Edge Distribuion Model of the Enterprise Network Composite Model. Choices were: WAN, Internet Connection, Remote Access, Server Module, Distribution Module. I believe I bombed this one as well.
The study material I used were CCxx productions, Boson software, Sybex 640-441, Cisco Press: Integrating Voice and Data Networks, Cisco Press: Basics of IP Telephony and TestKing's PDF.
The CCxx, Boson and testking all had the same questions just flip flopped in order and some of the answers were slightly different, but most were the same. I think they took them off the actual DESGN exam because several of them were identical, but obviously not enough of them.
There were a few more questions regarding IPv6 that I think I bombed as well. I believe there were 8 questions on IPv6 on my test. I think I bombed all but 2 of them.
I feel that if the question had focused more on things like ATM, Frame Relay, ISDN, technical goals/constraints and business goals/constraints I would have passed it. Many of the types of scenarios I was anticipating did not show up at all(although a few did).
I sort of feel down about not passing, but it was my first shot on a new test and you can't pass on the first time every time! So I'm a little rough on the edges, but give me some time alone with IPv6 and I'll be right back in there taking that exam.

| All in all dude you did pretty good considering EVERYONE is failing this.
I have not found anyone on any boards that have passed this one yet.
It's too bad you missed my post last night, I warned about the IPV6 routing questions.
If its any consolation I have plenty of experience in both exam taking, real world network design and maintenance and I still bit the big one on this exam

| Sorry no test-king. Being just about the only person to have passed the new CCDA so far and thus making me the MASTARE OF MASTARIES I would reccomend BOSON, actually I would say they are invaluable! Don't forget to study the how each routing protocol implements IPv6 | |

| If that is the case then copyright laws may not apply to you ...
Try using kaaza to find what you need or just take the real test twice, nothing like the real test for a practice test.

Huh?!?!
You might want to have a look at the DMCA that Bill Clinton signed into law.
Just because his country does not allow money sent out of the country (which I don't believe...otherwise how would business get done and families supported?) does not exempt them from American law.
Know what I mean? | |

| American law being applied to other countries that are not part of any treaties ?
You are a typical American moron!
How much blood of South American children
is on your hands because of the American desire for free trade agreements?
You wonder why people don't like you as a nation....

| My Canadian friend....you should do a bit of research before you shoot off your mouth.
The gentleman in question shows his country of origin in his bio as Bangladesh. If you were to check http://www.faqs.org/faqs/law/copyright/faq/part4/ you would see that this country is one of the signatories of the Universal Copyright Convention.
In addition, if you would take the time to check http://www.state.gov/documents/organization/18671.pdf you will see that there are copyright treaty relations between Bangladesh and the United States. Ergo, that would mean that our copyright laws would very well apply under international treaty and law to him.
Rather clear cut...go have a look.
As to your other comments...bugger off. I could personally care less what other countries think about us. They can voice their opinions freely once they get here as they all seem to be doing...and coming from countries where they do not have the right to do so.
Check your facts and keep your political BS to yourself.
Have a nice day!
ps - As to South Africa...once the blood is wiped from the hands of Mr. and Mrs. Mandela I'll have a look at mine. Since she was just sentenced to prison for being involved with ripping off and killing her own people, that could be a while.

| Both of you are fine. Thanks for your valuable reply. But I think both of you have a lack of knowledge about third wrold countries.Do you know in BD there is no copyright law. People frequently use all software & operating system. Microsoft release their copyrihgt law in here. Any way there has no permission to make an international credit card from here. If you want to take permission for international credit.... there will be another story. Anyway you can give me some questions in doc file for my practice which will not brack the copyright law.. . I can't sit for exam because of the same problem....now a days we need minimum 30 days for registration.....so it is horibol...
Thanks | |

| Well, there may not be copyright law in BD (I'll take your word for that), but your government has signed on as being willing to obey and enforce US copyright law via international treaty and law. Check the links I provided and do a little research. I never said the laws of your country would make any sense!
As to not knowing much about the third world...you'd be wrong there. Uncle Sam has a habit of sending the military and their dependents to some pretty interesting places at pretty interesting times. Leave it at that.
As to some info, leave me a private message with an email address and I will be happy to send you something you can probably use. All in the spirit of building bridges and international cooperation!
How's that? | |

Ummm ok, are you trying to prove you are a moron?
First thing I would like to point out is that I said "If that is the case then copyright laws MAY not apply to you"
Try using a dictionary they are made so that even Americans can use them.
http://dictionary.reference.com/search?q=may
Secondly I said South America not South Africa, do all Americans have ADD ?
Here is a map for you.
http://www.worldatlas.com/webimage/countrys/sa.htm
I hope I typed slow enough for you to understand.

Thanks
Send me your email or an ftp/scp account.
I have pretty much all you need in about 12MB file. The only thing not there would be how each routing protocol implements IPv6
i.e. extentions or new version etc.

| OK...please provide one example for me where a country outside of the US has restrictions on sending money outside of their country and how that would nullify international copyright law. Just one.
OK...Central America. Sorry about that. I was laughing so hard over your ignorant comments that the tears in my eyes prevented me from reading what you wrote correctly. But, Central America is something I know quite a bit about. Just take out the comments of the Mandelas and insert the name of Daniel Ortega and the Sandanistas when they took over control of Nicaragua. Yeah, folks are loving it there (even after he left office) so much they are beating the door down to get to the US.
Look, bottom line is you made ignornat comments and were wrong and got called on it. You still cannot go back and address the original issue...so you try to hide it. And you had to be an a-hole about it.
So, at this point you are on the ignore list. I sent you a private message and will tell you the same thing here. You want to discuss politics? Check my profile and send me a private email and I would be happy to do so.
Have at it bubba! |
