I am taking the new ccda this week and i am starting to get nervous. I have all of the old ccda exam material down pat and I have touched up on VoIP and basic SAFE architecture. Does the new ccda exam go beyond basics with VoIP and/or SAFE? Any comments would help. Please do not post any links for me to read in response to this question. Thanks

My understanding is added material also covers IPv6 and SNMP.

Do a search here and you'll find a good link on IPv6 that I posted not too long ago.

Not a problem! I am looking forward to taking it sometime soon.

When are you scheduled? I have some questions at work that I could email to you Tuesday morning if you like. Shoot me an email in a priv msg and I will get them out to you.

That would be wonderful Meijin if you could send me those questions. I am scheduled to take it on Thursday morning. If I do well I will share with all on this forum what and how I studied, since I have my own little awkward studying routine, but if I do not do well I will try a new routine. It hasn't failed me in the last three certs!! Hopefully it doesn't fail me now.

No prob...send me a private message with an email address and I will be happy to forward them tomorrow morning. I'd be interested in getting feedback on how good this stuff is.

Thanks!

I do not know how to do private messaages. If you email pollaron@hotmail.com I should get them. Set the subject to CCDA, then I will know it isn't junk mail. Thanks Meijin

Zdennis,

quote:

I do not know how to do private messaages

There are two ways to send Private Messages (PMs):

First, and easiest, move your mouse over the little icons at the bottom of this post. Hold your mouse over each one. The first is an online/offline indicator (check box, gray for offline, yellow for online). The second icon is for the profile of the poster - a rolodex card with a person beside it. The third icon is for Private Messages, an envelope with one person beside it. The fourth icon is to add the poster to your buddy list (for future messaging) and is two people shaking hands next to an envelope.

Click the third icon and you're taken to the Private Messaging section.

The second way is to use the Forum Jump at the bottom of every thread. click the pull-down arrow, scroll up to the top for PM, and when you click that "forum" you will be taken there. You need to know the exact spelling of the person you wish to PM, but it will also work.

HTH...
