CCDA Exam Cert Guide CD = Bosom?

| I am preparing for 640-861, and just got the Cisco Exam Certification Guide Second Edition. When I installed the CD with practice questions, I noticed that that the test engine is owned by Bosom.
I don't know what content the Bosom site sells, but it seems likely that if you buy the Cisco book with the CD, buying Bosoms online service may be redundant.
Good luck to everyone,

| Hi Danielg,
You will find that the CD that comes with Cisco Press CCDA certification guide only provides a complete re-run of the questions in the book (i.e. the 'Do I know this alreaddy' sections and the 'Q&A' sections).
You are right in identifying the engine that runs these questions as being the Boson engine. However if you purchase the Boson practice exam for the CCDA, you will find that the 256 questions are not duplicated within the book. In fact the Boson test engine will help in cementing understanding some of the info provided in the CCDA book.
I would strongly recommend using both in your preparation.
As an aside, there are many errors in the book and on the CD Rom. In the majority they are minor errors, but all the same they are irritating. As an example find page 247 and the paragraph for site local addresses. The 10 bit FP should read 1111111011 and not 1111111010.
I really do not think the book has be proof read by a techy!
Anyway good luck with the studies
