| Can somebody offer a veriable proof which site is the original?
I am studying like crazy to understand concepts, but I feel it is still useful to know what types of questions will be asked. I had planned on downloading the test king material, only to find out several competing sites are all claiming the others are frauds.

| Most of those so-called competing br@indump sites are connected to a slimy Pakistani named Shahbaz Mian, in one way or another. If you are going to cheat then you might as well get the one that is the cheapest because most of them are really the same product. Just use whichever sponsor of this website that is the cheapest and say hello to Shahbaz. | |

| Will the real TK please stand up. The first site you mentioned is the original exam question thief. T-K is one of the sites which stole from the original thieves. The .org and .net and .uk, and all of the others are also clones of the original. According to the wails of anguish I have seen on other forums I frequent, the original TK has either:
A. closed their doors.
B. Is having hosting problems and will be re-opening soon.
C. Has another site and has transferred their test material to the second site.
D. Been sued out of existence.
E. Been sold.
F. Conspiracy theories abound.
Not sure how I could provide verifiable proof except to say that I have been seeing requests for TK material for many years, and the others only recently.
Check out the public newsgroups on this site and you will find loads of posts about the TK situation.
By the way, if you choose to buy this sort of stuff you won't be seeing the type of questions that will be asked. You will be seeing the exact questions that will be asked. There are plenty of legitimate sites that offer practice material to help you gauge your exam readiness. Cisco recommends Self Test Software. I have used their material, along with the tests offered by Boson. Both are O.K. I personally believe that the best way to find out if I adequately prepared for the test is to take it. If I pass, I was ready. If I fail, at least I know what areas I need to concentrate on.

| Test King clones...OMG.
Stick with legit material. You guys are going for Cisco certs - the most elite and still respected of all the certs. Prove your professionalism and respectiblity by staying away from sights like testking.

| Thanks for the info.
The rest of this post is my wailing at the moon regarding the CCDA test. You can safely skip it if you are already fed up with whiners, or hold as an article of faith that the CCDA exam program closely approaches divine standards of justice.
I agree with our moderator, Paisleyskye, that Cisco certs are a professional milestone that should be respected. For that reason I am spending months studying "CCDA Exam Cert Guide" and "Designing Cisco Internetworking Solutions".
However, I often feel I respect this cert more than Cisco does. Consider:
* It turns out that Cisco sold me 2 obsolete books. Cisco changed the exam long before new books were published, so they expediently continued to sell the obsolete old ones.
* 63 instances of 24 verbs are crammed into pgs 32-33 of the "Exam Cert Guide": "characterize", "understand", "review", "distinguish", "see", "uncover", "profile", "assess", "determine", "verify", "explain", "research", etc. etc. This is only my favorite example of the imprecise and verbose language that characterizes these books.
* Sample exam questions I have seen are often looking for regurgitation of the precise phrases used in the books.
I don't work in IT, I am a system architect for a telecom manufacturer designing VoIP networks. CCDA is a goal I set for myself, and I doubt my boss even knows what CCDA means. But if my job were on the line, I would be sorely tempted to compensate for the silly aspects of this program by memorizing cheat sheets.
Good luck to all my fellow travelers on the CCDA path,

testking.com is the one you want.
It's good to know the subject by studying, especially if you need to use the knowledge.
I read so many complaints from people from both sides of the argument. It's so stupid. Just because you have a cert doesn't mean you know anything. All it means is that you have is a piece of paper saying you passed exam requirements. It's just like a college diploma. Realistically, how much are those worth? I know many people with college degrees working deadend jobs and I know high school dropouts living the american dream.
I disagree that that Cisco certs are elite with the exception of CCIE. Not to say that every CCIE knows everything. Afterall, we're all human and we forget and stuff. I work directly with 10 CCIEs, some of the sharpest people I know in respect to networking. They often interview less experience CCIEs.
Honestly I think that employers who would weigh a piece of paper over experience are insane. Working for the largest networking company, I am fortunate to have many brilliant minds to answer my questions. Just a little intimidating when they go over my head. LOL!
Cisco Press books aren't there when you need them. That's nothing new. These books generally come out after the exam becomes available. You can't really blame Cisco. They didn't sell you the book, you bought it.
Best of luck to you. |
