| Hi,
I just passed the CCNA exam. I am not sure if I should pursue CCDA or not. How valuable is this certification? Is it worth the time to study? Please give me some insights so I can make up my mind. Thanks.

| Hmmm . . I'll take a crack at it. A lot of it might depend on if you LIKE network design ? I in fact way dig the design part, maybe because I played with Tinker TOYs and Lincoln Logs when I was a kid. CCDA is way different than the CCNA.
I thought many of the concepts introduced in CCDA help me prepare for me CCNP and get me all the more aquainted with Cisco.
It also adds another cert under your belt you that you may shine that much more to your perspective employer as a Cisco Expert.
But the real reason is if it is GOOD for you ? Only you can answer that.
Great luck in making your choice,
All the best,

| I agree with Justin 100%. Do you like the design aspect of networks or do you just like administration/support? If not then dont go for it. You wont enjoy studying for it and you wont enjoy a job where you have to do it.
Best of luck!
