| getting ready for my ccda again failed last with a 727 and a previous score of 708. Both times I was juggle college classes and unexpected overtime and rushing things (overall bad time management). Now I am managing time better and am starting to get passing scores on my cisco preps both are 70 percent as passing. as 757 is passing. should I aim for average 80 percent scores to ensure passing or should I go higher. I am reviewing areas where I have major weakness on, as well as subject the wrongly questions covered | |

| Hello,
I would suggest working harder in order to slam dunk the test. You should be able to get 80's and 90's on the tests. Focus harder on the topics related to your test.
You could just barely get by and then maybe have to take the test again or you could ensure your success.
If there are some areas you are weak in then create you own cram sheet. Break down the answers in a simpler form, try using your own abbreviations to remembering lists of things. Then try to read it several time per day.
Good Luck | |

| Thanks both for the advise , I have the DCN, CCDA exam cert guide , CCDA training kit exam, and the internetworking technologies handbook as well, getting hi 70's to 80's now but going to wait til I hit the 80-90 range solid. I also have some cramsheets when I can't take the books with me. | |

| never thought of building my own cramsheet great idea. Being a part time college student seem to hinder my cert goals at first but now It seems to actually help as I improved my study habits and mannagement of my study time greatilly. It seems I can handle both now. I checked out exampasse and boson thanks. | |

| Yo again..
I found that the home made cram sheets helped in two ways. Number one as a visual learner I can enter in the information (reinforce information) and summarize the information. Often the books, tests, and other learning materials have excessive words, ones that I don't need since I know some things and don't know others. For example summary for debugging ip for eigrp neighbors could be summarized as
de ip eig ne = debug trans and excha among egi nei
of debug ip eigrp neighbors to debug transactions and exchanges among eigrp neighbors.
reading the first line is easier.
catution know your syntax! for example
debug ip (protocol) (option)
good luck

I have the DCN, CCDA exam cert guide
This was my bible - know how to do the case studies inside out, practice a method, you should already know what's coming after sitting it twice.
After the exam cert guide, keep doing the Boson's - but be careful your not question spotting, I reckon I could pass a Boson on brain surgery if I sat it 3 or 4 times!
Third time lucky! | |

| This helps a lot. Thanks for sharing the knowledge. getting better test scores on the cisco preps 75 to 85. And I am answer the questions based on knowledge avoiding question spotting. The custom made cramsheets help a lot as I not reviewing the stuff burned into my brain after multiple reviews and can focus on the areas of weakness. I noticed boson has multiple tests.I would it doesn't matter which one of the tests I go with
Thanks again all. I will have this one licked this time for sure. And I will be better prepared for prep for my ccdp and ccnp tests after this |
