| I have my CCNA and was wondering, I know that they changed the format of the CCNA to include CLI's on the test, but my question is for the CCDA will I be able to skip some of the reading in the book due to it being similar to the CCNA i.e. 1st few chapters on the OSI maybe?
What is the exam number is it still 649-441? | |

| I suggest you take CCDA after CCNP. I just passed CCDA today with 863 and it covered some OSPF, EIGRP and other CCNP topics. You will miss quite a few case study questions, but you can get 90%+ non-case study questions after CCNP. I only spent 2 days on the exam guide to be familiar the case study and design documentation. Rest of topics in the book are covered extensively in CCNP.
Good luck! | |

| I agree - there are massive differences between DA and NA, unfortunately I did it straight after NA and struggled. | |

| You could probably skip OSI and those type of subjects, but just be aware that you have all your design schemes mastered, as they ask a lot with references to their example companies within the test, also male sure that you know your product ranges, as again they are trying to see if you know what product you would implement to these examples. I personaly believe this is one of the toughest exams on the way to completing your CCDP!! some may agree or not thats the beauty of these exams.
Test numbers I believe are still the same.
Good Luck!!! |
