799,pass mark is 755.
extremely tough, the scenario questions were relentless and mixed up which meant re-reading the text a few times. finished with about 15mins to spare and i usually do the cisco exams in 30-40 mins so it takes a lot of time. Quite a few of the scenario questions you can work out without even needing to read the scenario text, this saves a lot of time.
I used the ccda exam prep guide by cisco press, the inside ccda book and boson tests (mine were quite old, ver 3.6). The bosons give you a feel for the real thing though i thought the answers given on the real exam were much harder to decipher. Don't bother with the inside scoop book, it's rubbish. The scenarios (4 of them) seemed to enjoy throwing as400 networks at you.so make sure you understand the protocols involved with these systems.
the cisco guide is good. i also used top down network design by oppenheimer which is a good book but not geared for this exam.

i'll celebrate tonight and think about doing ccdp. or maybe i should update my mcse to 2000, i don't know yet.

good luck to the rest of you.

awesome job I heard the same things from one of my coworkers about having to go back and re-read case scenarios...

Enjoy the Tequila, or whatever the celebration calls for -- you deserved it!

Congrats and best wishes!!

If I were you and can afford to, I'll wait out for the full XP Pro and .Net server MCSE track.

You don't wanna rush into MCSE W2K, only for MS to release a new full MCSE track months after you get it...trust me, that feeling sucks!!

I agree with Andy C "hey that rhymed"

GO for the WIN2K MCSE, as of now they are combining everything into the windows 2000 track, you can take the XP tests though for 2K in case they might apply later.
