| That's where the soft skills comes in my friend. It's all about being polite to the client and or customer explaining things in a non-technical manner, well after all you are rendering them a service.
I am a technical person myself and do appreciate the point you're trying to make, but to be honest I have seem the way some technical people behaviour. I tend to ask myself how did they land the job in the first place. Well, I suppose that would suffice for another topic as interviews is all about role playing hence when people land a job the real attitude is revealed. Just my humbled opinion. As the bottom line is that a lot of technical people need a personality which is why am not surprised is a key requirement today in the IT field when it comes to the recruitment and selection process.
Don't get me wrong, this is not to say that the customer is always right. We have a duty to treat them fairly and likewise them in return. Cheerio nuff said. |
