| I recently recieved an email from someone who took the latest CID test and was told that some of the information that used to be in it was not there.
No appletalk
no IPX
No token ring
no stratacom.
Sounds good to me actually.
I know its been removed from the CCIE lab.
I hope to not ever work anywhere that has a token ring network or an appletalk network or IPX for that matter hehe.
I looked at the published objectives on cisco`s site and I couldn`t find these topics.

| You're right the topic are all clear to the mind.
What's the passing score though now?
|
| Is the 2001 Michael Crane book good for this exam. Please say yes, because I just ordered this book from bookpool yesterday | |

| Chodan: re youre statement:
quote: I know its been removed from the CCIE lab.
Actually, NO the Token Ring stuff has not been removed as yet; what you may be getting confussed with is that Cisco has withdrawn its sales of the 3900/3920 product range. This will however lead to the demise of it in the CCIE in the near future.
See for yourself its still in the CCIE Equipment list: http://www.cisco.com/warp/public/62...routing.html#45
Also IPX is still very much on the CCIE quiz list: please see http://www.cisco.com/warp/public/62...routing.html#43 for the details as to what has been removed from the CCIE track.
Hope this clarifies the issue...no no I mean oppertunity
|
| Jon, I really need to get to your lab don't I? | |

| I guess I should have stated "is being removed form the CCIE lab exam"
I think its none to soon, I mean how much TR
do you see these days anyway.
Everywhere in this area where token ring is being used are phazing it out.
Looks like these are gone though.
LAT
DECnet
Apollo
Banyan VINES
ISO CLNS
XNS
ATM LANE
X.25
Appletalk
I kinda wish LANE was still in there though
its something I`ve got some expierience with although with another vendor.

It was a little wrong english.
"Appearing" has a little bit different meaning.
We would ask "Chodan when are you taking the CID exam?"
I have noticed some people using the term "write your exam" as in "When are you writing your CID exam?"
I am not an english master though
Thanks for the encouragement!!
