| Hey guys and gals...
My CCNA certificate will expire at the end of March. If I pass the CCDA exam will that upgrade my CCNA? I know that the CCNP will do it but wasn't sure if CCDA would also apply.

| I don't think that CCDA will do it for the following reason:
CCNA is part of the Network Install and Support track and
CCDA is part of the Network Engineering and Design track

| I believe Frank cleared that one up quite nicely. | |

| I looked into it from my cert tracker when you initially asked, unfortunately not. My CCNA runs out before my CCDA. | |

| Will one exam out of the CCNP reinstate my CCNA or will I have to finish all four? | |

Actually the CCNP track has a single test for recertification.
So does CCIE for that matter.

| Check out the Cisco Web Site, it will tell you that your CCNA will expire unless you get either a CCNP or CCDP certification. | |

I may not have answered your question correctly.
I should say that you must have a CCNP or a CCIE or take the ccna exam again to remain a ccna.
One ccnp test will not do it.
I would say get on the ball and get the CCNP. You may still need to recertify the ccna to qualify for the ccnp |
