| Yes i am sad workign at Xmas....
I've just finished my MCSA and already got my CCNA, so i thought i'd do the CCDA now.
Looking at the new syl' for the CCDA it covers 802.11. I haven't got a clue about RF. Does anyone know if this is a big part of the new exam and also where i can get any free learning materials from?

| thought I'd reply NOPE, searched the cisco site, and haven't found any infromation stating that 802.11 will be covered | |

| Current version of the exam is still pretty old. 802.11 is not really in industry yet so Cisco following suit is not pushing it either. Cisco has the Cisco Aironet 1200 Series Access Point® (AP) but with 802.11g on the horizon, big business probably won't invest heavily until late next year, so you probalby won't see it until 2004 on a design exam.
Thank god, administrative nightmare from hell. Talk about a mobile subscriber balancing act, they move like a flock of seagulls! Probably the hardest planning for bandwidth capacity, security, and numbers of users. All the Network Admins I know are fighting it until the management tools develope more. |
