| Hi All,
I am not good at questions about the customer objectives or such questions that depends on memorizing the steps of designing. How many questions did you expect like these?

| I did not expect a lot like the types of questions. I felt like I studied for a lot of stuff that was not even covered in the exam. But thats okay . . .that is the whole purpose of getting certified right ? To learn new stuff. I thought the test focused on the case study questions a little TOO much. I understand why they are there, but I thought Cisco hit 'em too hard.

| It has been a while since I studied this stuff (almost a month) but some of the things that I used to get through this test were to identify the keys for each technology. Why each WAN type is used and you will find that these keys are in each question, you just have to find them.
Overall, each customer will have unique needs but there are only so many solutions that are available from the CCDA, so use the study book to find where they draw the line. I know that most of them are gray but if you look hard enough, they will put the answer right in your face!!
Just remeber one thing though, the customer is paying for this, so the customer gets what he wants. So if he wants Frame Relay when ISDN will work better and be more cost feasable, he get Fram Relay.
Overall, it is about money, the cheaper the better. Solutions should scale but only to the customer demands. The chapter in the index of the CCDA Exam Guide from Cisco names each device and what it is used for. For the WAN connections, I don't remeber which chapter but there is one that discusses exactly what and when to use each one.

| Passed the exam last wednesday. Case studies was boring and like everyone I got 4 different case studies. They were long and I was mixed cause they were out of order. And my mind was really mixed. I was thinking that I will fail with a score 600 or something like that. But I passed with 854. And I didn't get any questions like I expect. But I get a Prototype or Pilot question for every case study.
Good luck to everyone.
Best regards, | |
