| Would like to know if the sybex book should be enough to pass the CCDA test. I would like to take the test in a couple of weeks. and havent start studying for it yet but have had success with Tod Lammle books before. Any advice? | |

| The Cisco Press CCDA Exam Certification Guide is also available in PDF; if you look around on the web, you will find it too. | |

| I have about 3 friends and we are in compatetion on Cisco exams. I screwed up and went with the Cisco press for the CCDA and am already 2 behind (for the CCNP). I didn't understand why until I got my hands on the Sybex book, it is much better and the case studies are almost the exact same thing as are on the exam (or so I am told and will find out next weekend, already scheduled for it). But if you got the cash or you can spend 2 hours in a book store looking at it, once you manage to dreadge through the CCDA big book, check out the Sybex Notes on the Exam. I used this for the CCNA and almost got a perfect score in under 30 minutes. Straight forward and tells you exactly what you need to know for the test and some good hints for the real world. If you have some router time under your belt (using BGP, or at least EIGRP with WAN connections) don't waste the money on the Sybex book, just get the Notes on the Exam. It is a small paperback that you can read in about a few hours. |
