I'm studying from the Cico Press DCN book by Diane Teare and have a question with reference to the case study on PH Networks.
The question is 4 - 8 on page 83.
The answer assumes 2000 characters per transaction and 100 characters per packet (worst case).
My question is where have they got this figure from? The question is referring to a TN3270 application but earlier in the book ( P 76)it states 4000 Bytes is typical for this type of application per transaction. As for the final answer of 48000 packets I understand this using the figures they provide.
I appreciate any help from anybody else who has done this case study.
