I hear this test is hard I have my CCNA but don't work in the IT field is it possible to pass this test. I have the cisco ccda cert guide read it twice. Do I need to remember all the 8 different steps for network design and the 8 steps for pilot or prototype test and the 5 steps for design doc. Will all the answer be there for the case study can there be more than one answer. what about all the different cisco products any help would be greatly appreciated. Where do I start, what is the most important to know

Thanks Ciscojoe

Hey ciscojoe,

yes the test is very passable. As for the points you mentioned, you do need to know them but not to a deep degree.

Also don't limit your technology knowledge to what was on the CCNA. Be familiar with x.25, appletalk, atm, etc. Again not deep knowledge but be familiar with it. I wish I had studied the Internetworking technologies handbook a little bit more. This is were I got caught offguard. But that was my test, yours may be different or even easier.
I passed so can you.

hope this encourages you,
ea

I agree with what ea said and would add that the most important thing is to be mentaly 100% when you take the test. Reading all those case studies has a way of frying your brain.

Good luck.

I just wanted to throw my two cents in to say that the MOST IMPORTANT thing for the exam to is to approach it with a fresh mind and patience. The first time I sat the exam I finished in an hour. I missed the pass mark by one question. The second time I finished with half an hour left, and blew the pass mark out of the water. The key thing is to take your time. Most of us in this forum have the knowledge, but test taking skills are key to pass the CCDA. You can have all the knowledge in the world, but Cisco will try to rattle you with oddly-phrased questions and "out of left field" questions...don't get rattled...you will be fine.
