| I am now taking my ccnp exams, after taking ccnp, what exam do I take next. I really want to do network design. ccda and ccdp are the only two design exams that cisco have right now that I know about, is there any other design exams out there that I can take to help me understand how to really design networks. Please give me some info. Thanks to all....... | |

| You can take two tracks now. Since you are on your CCNP track, you will be limited to the CCDA and CCDP. If you haven't started yet and are interested in WAN design, you can take the WAN track then move to the CCDP WAN certification.
These certifications are as close to inter-networking design that you can get in large systems without being a CCIE.
Ultimatly to get the full scope of the picture, taking R&S for CCIE will open the door to tons of information that you didn't know of before as well as equipment not readily described in NP level books. Items such as ATM, FDDI, and Gigabit Multiplexors, 12K series switches are some really cool stuff that make the big networks really connect at Telco Bandwidths.
Won't hurt to get the CCDP or/and CCDA, it will get you moving down the road to understanding the areas that you need to look at before you start getting into the heavy artillery of data networks.
Good luck and hope this helps!! |
