Author Passed w/863 but indeed hungry

2001-01-19, 6:00 am

Hi all,

Just passed the CCDA with 863. I used my lunch hour to take the test but it spent me two hours to finish, very hungry at the end.

Some hints to it:
1. Case studies are not difficult but it really needs your patience. Four case studies appeared alternatively. I didn't write notes on the paper because most information were irrelvant.

2. I think my case studies were like that of Tom Wright, many AS400 in case studies but you don't need to know much detials about AS400. It is only a server but not network devices, right?

3. Take care of ISDN, token ring, FDDI and ATM.

4. Only a few product selection questions with obvious answers.

Thanks a lot to all guys in this forum. I will take a few days break and then move on to BCMSN.

Many Many congratulations that you have passed your CCDA Exam.
Did you use any sample test Like Boson ???
If so than which sample test is close to real exam ???? Boson have 3 different CCDA Exams. CCDA Exam #1, CCDA Exam #2 and CCDA Exam # 3... Which one I should buy to brush my knowledge.....
Moreover Is there any case studies avilable on Internet ???? I haven't find any brain dump or any other resource for this exam.... Please help me.... I heard that this is a toughest exam.... and case studies are very
very tough so that's why I am very much scared and worry about this exam.

I am using CISCO CCDA Exam prep book which hase 8 chapters and are recommended by most people... which book you used for this exam...... Please let me know

Thanks

Thanks

I used all three Boson. They are similar so you take any one is okay.

No need to prepare the case studies specially. The key factor is patience and thinking carefully about what the questions are asking. Franky speaking some questions are badly written. I don't quite understand what they are asking and seems that all choices are wrong.

I read the DCN book and CCDA cert exam guide but I think only the latter is enough.
