| I have never posted here before but I have trolled for the past few days. Just came from the testing center with an 834 in my pocket. (Pass mark 755)Waahooo!
There were 72 questions with a 2 hour time limit. 4 Studies for about 35 Qs - 2 studies hit heavy. The rest was your standard technology questions...(a la ITM).
I used the DCN Self study, ITM and Sybex book. I did the DCN material off and on for the last few months, then concentrated on Sybex for the last 3 months and crammed with both for the last three days (Studying is hard with 3 boys under 7 years of age). I have about 7 years experience configuring Cisco routers and designing networks which I didn't find overly helpful on this particular exam.
I looked at this forum a few nights ago and started to worry about Case studies and question wording, but after taking several Cisco courses and running through the questions at the end of each section over the past few years, I guess I have become used to Cisco's inane question wordings.
I thought I would be a rack of nerves, not having taken a Sylvan exam before, but I drilled for the last few days with the Sybex tests, tests online and was getting high 80's, low 90's consistently, so I had some confidence. It all settled once I started the exam.
Thanks to the people in this forum who mentioned PPP and EIGRP, I went over that in particular detail in the last day or two and was rewarded with a couple of questions that I might not have gotten. (DUAL - PPP Network protocol negociation)
If you are like me and hemming and hawing about writing this exam, register for the exam for a week or so down the road, pay our money and study, study, study. i.e. Just Do It!
Now on to CCNA.....
Good Luck to those studying CCDA.... | |
