Author New to CCDA

2000-09-24, 4:19 am

Couple of days before I had completed my CCNA. I am bit confused whether to go for CCNP or to go for CCDA. After some thought I had deceided to go for CCDA. Is my decision right? Could anyone on the list pour some light on my decision.

If it is okay to go with CCDA, does studying the following is enough to pass CCDA.

1.CCDA Exam Certification Guide from Cisco Press
2.Top Down Design from Cisco Press
3.CCIE Fundamentals Network Design and Case Studies from http://www.cisco.com/cpress/cc/td/c...cs798/index.htm

Awaiting your valuable advice.

Thanks for replying.
Its very bad to hear that you have budget problem.

In my case though budget is not big problem, obtaining books in this part of world is very tough.

After giving exam give some feedback.
Goodluck.

I've been reading your post and Itīs just the same decission that Iīve been making these days, Iīve decided make CCDA first too, because itīs only an exam for having other Cert and it must be "similar" to CCNA. I donīt have a date yet because I donīt know how many time itīs going to be necesary to prepare it, I have just started with it. How many time do you spect itīs necessary for preparing it? Iī've thought about a month, similar to CCNA I have supossed.
