|
| If you are MCSE+I, what is the reason to include MCP, MCP+I and MCSE in your signature?
I sometimes see people do that and I wonder what's behind it?
| |
|
| YOU CAN BE MCSE WITHOUT MCP+I

DENSMA | |
|
| I think once you reach MCSE+I, it includes MCP+I, MCSE, and MCP | |

| Good start, keep going!!

| Well MCP is thru one paper , MCP+I you need to clear 3 papers, MCSE for 6 papers and +I for 9 Papers What if, if some mentioned all of his credit to be recognized all what he deserve.
CCNA, MCSE+I, Net+ (9 paper cleared for microsoft) ) haha) | |

| Folks,
Can we debate this issue elsewhere?
Anyway, I'm looking to go for the DCN v.1 exam at the end of august.
I have the following resources.
[1] the CISCO self study course.
[2] CCDA Exam Certification guide
[3] CCIE Fundamentals - Network Design.
Has anybody used these resources and if so what pitfalls/sucess stories do you have?
Regards

| As i posted elsewhere, the only book i do not recommend is the Sybex. It was horrible. This is not a knock on Sybex. Their Microsoft series is the best out there. However, stick with Cisco Press for this exam.
The first time i took this exam, i failed. The second time i passed. There was not one question that was the same as the first exam. My friend also took it on the same day and when we discussed it later, could not find one question that was the same for both of us. They must have a huge pool.
Make sure you draw the diagrams for the Case Studies; there are many questions for the same case and they go back and forth. There were always only two cases. Ask for 3 or 4 sheets of paper from the admin before you take the exam.
In short, an extreeeeemely difficult exam. Be forewarned.

hehehhehehe no seriously, I'm working on my
CCNA and CCDA to work on my wall of certifications.... i'm scheduled to take both tests in august 2 weeks apart. I guess I'll dump sybex for since everyone says its not that great (for the ccda). I have the sybex for the CCNA2.0, anyone know if that's any good?
well, til the next cert....

| I hate to be a stick in the mud here, but I found Sybex very valuable for 407 v1 - scored 944.
However, I also used the CCNA forum to the extent that everyone there thought I was an idiot. I also used the Boson Exams.
My best resource was online prep at www.techmindworks.com. The "drills" on the site were great from both a learning and reinforcement standpoint.
As for certs behind my name, One side of me tells me its "signature overkill" while the other side tells me that we should be proud of each and every one of our accomplishments.
Frankly, I didn't know that because I obtained the MCP+I cert before I earned the MCSE+I cert that I "had" both certs. I've just always thought that "MCSE+I" was sufficient. But to each his/her own.
Great to see some familiar "faces" on this forum that I often saw on the CCNA forum.
Let's step up to the task at hand, work together, and share knowledge with each other!

| I believe what some of you are saying about the sybex book. However, im on chapter 6, for my second time reading it. So, my question is, has anyone been successful at passing the exam (ccda) using the sybex book? I would hate for all of that time i spent reading the book, practically twice, to be a waste. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
