| OK guys,
I began studying for my CCNP, however I am thinking to just backtrack a little and get my CCDA, I already have CCNA, what is the comparision between NA and DA? I have pretty much read the BCMSN book for the switching exam, however what else is essential to know?
Thanks. any quick tips? anyone taken?

| If you go to Cisco's web site. If I'm not mistaken (I'm not looking at the page right now). You need the CCDA exam and the CIT exam in addition to the exams needed for the CCNP (or all but one) to get the CCDP. In other words, if you're working on a CCNP you might as well take the one (or two more) exam(s) and get the CCDP cert. If you're doing it the other way, same thing. In either case, it's not a huge difference.
Just my opinion for whatever its worth.

| Hi floresvm,
CCDA is altogether different animal. I had done my CCNA/DA now on to CCNP. To my knowledge it is better to go for CCDA after completing CCNP.
Go for CCDA only if you have any specific reason.

| From what I have read, the CCDA covers a wide range of material. The CCNA isn't in depth enough to help with the CCDA. Wait until you get the CCNP and the CCDA will be easy! |
