Author CCDA? OR CCNA?

2000-12-17, 9:56 pm

can any one tell me what track to follow ?? is the ccda a cert that people really respect? or does everybody go for the ccna? I was wondering because I want to go into management and I'm thinking that ccda is the way to go?
I have about 2 years in the field and 2 mcps
I have a lot of exposure to routers but no actual configuring. Can anyone help me out?

That is a great question. I personally think the CCDA to be the more difficult of the two. Human Resources personnel may recognize the CCNA more, though. The two exams have a very different scope, to be sure.

I am going to suggest something that may seem a bit strange at first: Post this question in the CCNP forum. You will find there many readers who have both certifications. Here you will only likely find CCNAs. As well, you will get many more hits. This forum rather dead I am sorry to report.
