| Some questions that have become concerns over test preperation?
At layer 2, analysis of which of the following occurs?
1. MAC address
2. network address
3. mac address, network address
4. protocols,network address, mac address
If you want to define a infinte hop count what 2 routing loops should you use?
1.defining a maximum
2.split horizon
3.infinite reply
4.maxim hop count
5.poison reverse
What are products of SDLC?
1. PLP
2. SIP
3. HDLC
4. SMTP
What is the best for mesh system?
1. ISDN
2. ATM
3. X.25
4. Frame Relay
5. Token Ring
EIGRP helps what 2 protocols?
1. Rip v1

| First, I want to let you know I don't have the CCDA, so bear in mind my answers
The question for the Mesh, I would think Frame Relay would be the answer, however ATM,X.25 and ISDN could also support a Mesh environment, If I was forced to answer only one it would be Frame Relay, only because I can have one port servicing many logical ports at each location (Through DLCI), I know ATM could do this same but it is more expensive
EIGRP can redistrbute rooutes for RIP,ISIS,BGP,OSPF, RTMP,IPX RIP and IPX Service Advertising Protocol (SAP)

For SDLC the answer would be HDLC, and there is more I believe QLLC,802.2 are all dervatives of SDLC
For preventing Loop the answer should be Split Horizon and poison reverse
I hope this helps, again I am a novice at this, I used TOP & DOWN book to source the information along with BOSON EXAMS'

| For all you guys wanting to get this web site going this is some questions from the actual test and notice how ambious the questions are asked. Maybe others may start to put in some questions as well | |
|
| At layer 2, analysis of which of the following occurs?
1. MAC address
2. network address
3. mac address, network address
4. protocols,network address, mac address
>> Mac address all others canbe eliminated with the network address which is layer 3.
If you want to define a infinte hop count what 2 routing loops should you use?
1.defining a maximum
2.split horizon
3.infinite reply
4.maxim hop count
5.poison reverse
>> split horizon with poison reverse
What are products of SDLC?
1. PLP
2. SIP
3. HDLC
4. SMTP
>> PLP is for X.25
>> SIP is for Telephony and Multimedia
>> SMTP is for Mail
>> so I would say only HDLC, although the
>> question has diffcult wording (what a shock)
What is the best for mesh system?
1. ISDN
2. ATM
3. X.25
4. Frame Relay
5. Token Ring
>> Is this a WAN Mesh? I would guess Frame Relay, otherwise hard to say.
EIGRP helps what 2 protocols?
1. Rip v1
2. OSPF
3. RTMP
4. IGRP
5. IPX
>> RTMP (appletalk) and IPX (Novell updates) all others are competeing routing protocols.
Hope this helps.

| I know the answers to all these questions but it put up to get the forum moving. Please note for questions regarding:
In layer 2 in de encapsulation the frame analysis of each of the upper layers because it must look to see if it's a packet, frame or segment. This is a tricky question because layer 2 will take the frame header and send the protocol and network up to layer 3. The trick on this question is the word analysis (wording by CISCO)
re: eigrp the only two are igrp and ospf another one the wording questions
re: sdlc the only correct answer hdlc but note QLLC and 802.2 LLC are also part of SDLC
