Author Boson Tests??

Has anyone used the Boson Test for CCDA and found it useful? Or the Exam4cram CCDA testing software?

I use the Boson test to pass my CCNA, BSCN, BCMSN, BCRAN, CIT, CCDA, CID, MCNS. The Boson is excellent consider the price. I haven't used other test so I have no comment.

A little off topic, but what did you use to study for the MCNS?

In Boson MCNS test #1 (I have'nt bought the #2), some questions answer will have a pointer to cisco web site as the reference. Just bookmark all the web site in the test and read them all or use them as reference. Then you are done. There are still no training guide for MCNS in the market yet. I also use the Windows 2000 resource kit as reference for concept like PKI, IPSEC, encryption ...

You can get everything you want to know at cisco web site. Now I am studying for CCNP-ATM.

Doesn't it sound good for less than $30 + exams fee to get the CCNP security specialisation.

I do have the Course Manual for ATM, I will do that some time in the future. But, I need to get through the CCDA, CID, MCNS and then I would like to take the CCIE written. I have been collecting notes for the written exam for a year now and several of my friends have passed it so they have been able to direct me to the right books and materials. Thank you for your answer, I appreciate it.

One thing to reminder you is that the CCNP-Security Specialization change requirement at 01/01/2001. You have to pass 4 exams instead of 1 go get the security specialization. So do it now can save you 3 exams fee and time.

And I pass the CATM yesterday by reading the cisco web site only. A lot questions about cisco equipments like LS1010, IOS, AIP, NPM instead of concepts and understanding of ATM. Now I am also CCNP-ATM specialization. Cheer!

Congratulations Joe! I did not know that about the MCNS exam. I will have to hurry. How long did you prepare for the MCNS?

Thanks again,

Gordon

Well, it take me 5-days to prepare for the MCNS after my CID test.

But I have 6-years experience in networking and I know most of the security stuffs & concepts from Windows 2000 when I do my MCSE.

How fast to prepare for a test depend on individual experience. Just like different people have different walking pace, walking slower mean wasting time, walk fast will fall easily.

Spoken well. I tend to go fast so I don't forget the the first things I studied. I am not that smart so I have to work a little harder at it.

I bought the MCNS Boson by Bernard last night and printed out all the Links on the first test, it was only about 500 pages, wow. But the Boson looks to be very well done. So, I will hit the MCNS right after I finish the CCDA, hopefully by Monday.

I think you also need the CCNP before you are qualified for CCNP-Security specialization. Even you pass the MCNS before 01/01/2001, you still have to pass the others 3 exams to qualify for Security specialization next year.

If you are confident, you can take the foundation + CIT to qualified for CCNP, but I rather take the exam. one by one. Anyway, we all have to re-certified after 2 years for specialization.

Joe,

I am a CCNP, MCSE, CCA and a few others to dull to mention. I plan on taking the CCDA within a week or so, then the MCNS within a few weeks after that then on to the CID to finish up the CCDP. Yes, I am a veteran test taker, been in the booth 16 times. But I have not taken a test in about six months so I have to get back in the zone. So hopefully I will be able to get the +Sec out of the way in a few weeks. I am not that smart but my persistence makes up for my lack of grey matter.
