| Hey, can someone direct me to a write up on how to configure the console port for modem acces. Or do I just configure the VTY ports??

| I've looked through some manuals, but that did not help much. So i went into console config and looked at te commands. I found that you cannot have direct modem acess to the console port.
What I am trying to get working is something different though, I wasn't clear enough earlier, I appologize.
I have a modem on each end, inside the PC and another one right before the switch. First of all, what kind of settings should I be using on hyperterminal? Is there anything else I need to do?? All I did on the console port was to set "login" and "password". thank you again | |
