| Tough call. Cisco and security are definitely where it's at right now (I here Novell is pretty hot too haha). I did Security+ (which is only entry level in the security world) and I'm glad I went through it, but I don't enjoy it anywhere near as much as routing/switching. I now know that I would never want to be in a pure security role because I'd be bored silly.
If you're not already in a solid networking position, it's going to be pretty tough to get into a security role. With a CCNP under your belt, you've got a shot at the entry level networking job with no real experience. This might not apply to you, but hopefully fits into some of the readers on this thread. |
